The Trekkers Outdoor Recreation Club shared two memorable outspans during July and August 2026.

Berg River Resort (July) Members enjoyed serene riverside camping with superb weather, calm waters, and the company of Egyptian geese flying in formation. Evenings were spent around braai fires and congas, creating a true camping atmosphere. A visit to the new Paarl Mall added a modern touch to the weekend, while the peaceful riverside setting made this outspan one to remember.

Kleine Paradys (August) Coinciding with Laager 3’s outspan, this gathering was filled with friendship, celebration, and good food. Angela treated David for his birthday week, which included a scenic 280 km trip to Elands Baai for calamari and chips, and visits with fellow members Mac and Brenda. The weekend brought more members together, with Wayne hosting a lively braai, rugby screenings under sheltered awnings, and plenty of laughter despite shifting winds. The Sunday indaba was spirited, with plans already in place to return next August.
